Why Should You Join ARCSI?
That's an easy answer: Benefits, Connection and Education
The Alison Palmer Member Resource Library
Are you "reinventing the wheel" when it comes to employee manuals, clients contracts, pricing and estimating and other issues? Why? ARCSI members have created an online library to help you create the forms, contracts, policies and procedures you need to start and grow your residential cleaning business.
ABOUT ALISON PALMER
The Resource Library is named after a long time member and residential cleaning advocate, Alison Palmer. She has spent over 30 years in the cleaning industry as an owner of Custom Maids of Virginia Beach, Virginia. She has been a long-time supporter of ARCSI in promoting professionalism, ethical practices and sharing her experience and expertise with many fellow cleaning business owners.
Alison served as President of ARCSI from 2008-2010 and again in 2014. The Alison Palmer Resource Center was dedicated in October 2015 at the 2015 ARCSI Cleaning Convention in Las Vegas. “It's so gratifying to see how this association has grown both in numbers and maturity,” Alison said. “I am glad to have been a part of it.”
National, Regional and Local Networking Opportunities
The ARCSI Annual Cleaning Convention is THE industry event for owners of residential cleaning services. Bringing together owners from across the country, this four-day event is part of the ISSA Interclean Trade Show that boasts thousands of vendors -- from supplies to equipment to services -- all specific to the cleaning industry.
In addition, ARCSI sponsors education all week, bringing you information on marketing, sales, employee issues and cleaning-specific topics that help you improve your business.
The Executive Leadership Conference and other regional meetings are a chance to dig deeper into current issues affecting your business. Whether it is web design, HR issues, disaster preparation, strategic planning or marketing, the Executive Leadership Conference "drills down" into two to three topics every year, where expert speakers explain how these issues affect your business, help you develop plans and initiatives to deal with the issues head on and answer your questions.
The in-person networking opportunities at all in-person education and events are invaluable. You'll talk to other cleaning business owners who have "been there, done that" and who are happy to answer your questions, explain how they handled a problem you, too, may be having, or share experience from which you could benefit.
Hot Topic Tuesday Discussions and Podcasts
Every Tuesday at 1 pm Eastern, members meet via conference call or webinar to discuss the week's "Hot Topic." Discussions range from damage and breakage to client retention to financial statements to job descriptions and evaluations. Every week, an ARCS Imember moderates this call, sharing their experiences and discussing with other ARCSI members how to implement or improve a policy or product.
Members get some of their "burning questions" answered every week bu those who have dealt with similar situations and benefit from one another's experiences. Hot Topic podcasts are always available to download for free in the ARCSI Store.
